Das Buch beschäftigt sich mit den stereotypen Vorstellungen rund um das Landpfarramt. Solche Vorstellungen finden sich in kirchenamtlichen, berufsständischen und wissenschaftlichen Texten gleichermaßen und sie haben die Tendenz, sich immer wieder selbst zu bestätigen. Die Studie möchte dazu ermutigen, in diesem Prozess innezuhalten und gängige Sprech- und Denkweisen zu hinterfragen. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie solche Stereotypen sprachlich vermittelt werden, wie sie die Wahrnehmung lenken und welche Bedeutung sie als handlungsleitende Konzepte für die Kirche auf dem Land haben. Die sprachliche Wirklichkeit vom Landpfarramt, die sich so konstituiert, wird sprachwissenschaftlich analysiert und pastoraltheologisch reflektiert. [Rural Parish Ministry. An Inventory] The book deals with the stereotypical ideas about the rural parish ministry. Such ideas are to be found likewise in official ecclesiastical, professional and academic texts which constantly tend to be self-affirming. The study wants to encourage the stopping of this process and to challenge these established modes of talking and thinking. The question is explored, how these stereotypes are communicated linguistically, how they direct perception. What is their significance as guiding concepts for the rural church? The linguistic reality of the rural parish ministry, in that way established, is analysed linguistically and is reflected from a pastoral-theological perspective.
