Kirchenvorstandsarbeit

Entlang der vier praktisch-theologischen Dimensionen von Kirche als Institution, Organisation, Interaktion und Inszenierung arbeitet die Studie Spannungsfelder der Gemeindeleitung vor Ort heraus. Die Datenauswertung dreier repräsentativer Erhebungen des Sozialwissenschaftlichen Instituts der EKD zeigt auf, inwiefern die Kirchenvorsteher eine besondere Gruppe von kirchlich hoch verbundenen Ehrenamtlichen bilden. Eigene qualitative Untersuchungen von Werbematerialien für Kirchenwahlen, Einführungsgottesdiensten für Kirchenälteste und KV-Tagen vertiefen diese Ergebnisse. Im Schlussteil der Arbeit werden Konturen einer Presbyterialtheologie gezeichnet, die das Kirchenvorstandsamt zwischen Allgemeinem Priestertum, Leitungscharisma und freiwilligem Engagement verortet. Dimensions and areas of conflict in late modern leading of congregations] Along the four practical-theological dimensions of church as institution, organization, interaction and staging the study describes areas of conflict for the parish councils. The data evaluation of three representative surveys that are carried out by the Social Science Institute of the EKD illustrates the board members as outstanding group of volunteers in the church. Qualitative analyses of promotion material for parish-elections, the inauguration of the elders and special conferences for them amplify the results. The volume finally outlines a theology of presbyters which locates the church councils in the triangle of universal priesthood, charisma of leadership and voluntary work.
