Reflecting Reformation and the Call for Renewal in a Globalized and Post-Colonial World

Die Feierlichkeiten zum 500. Reformationsjubiläum haben in vielen protestantischen Kirchen weltweit mehrere Jahre in Anspruch genommen. Es ist wohl das erste Reformationsjubiläum gewesen, bei dem deutlich wurde, dass die Reformation eine weltweite, vielfältige, ökumenische Bewegung ist. Die Beiträge im vorliegenden Band ,,reflektieren" , wie sich die Impulse reformatischer Theologie in unterschiedlichen Kontexten widerspiegeln und wie sie weiterentwickelt und vertieft wurden. Ja, die Reformation ist Weltbürgerin geworden, aber nicht in einem immer gleichen Erscheinungsbild, nicht als Kopie, sondern immer als Original. Aus diesem Grund und ganz im Sinne des semperreformanda geht es im vorliegenden Band zugleich um eine kritische Revision von Engführungen reformatorischer Theologie und Kirchen. The activities commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation have occupied a period of several years in some Protestant churches. It has obviously been the first commemoration of the Reformation, that brought into mind that the Reformation is a worldwide, diverse, ecumenical movement. The texts in this book show the way in which the impulses emanating from reformatory theology are „reflected“ in different contexts and how reformation theology has been further developed in the international context. Indeed, the Reformation has become cosmopolitan, but not in a uniform appearance and not as a copy, but always as an original. For this reason, and in the spirit of semper reformanda, this booklet is also concerned to offer a critical revision of narrow-mindedness in Reformation theology and churches.
